Asian Health Services Seeks Program Planner

Organization Description:
Asian Health Services (AHS) is a community health center whose mission is to serve and advocate for the Asian and Pacific Islander (API) community by ensuring access to health care services regardless of income, insurance status, immigration status, language, or culture. As an important part of this mission, we provide services in English and eight Asian languages: Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), Vietnamese, Korean, Tagalog, Lao, Mien, and Khmer. Position Description:
Responsible for coordinating all aspects of grant development; monitoring policies and activities that are relevant to the agency’s mission, conduct, research, current programs, and needs assessments; involvement in planning of corporate, facilities, advocacy activities, community collaborative initiatives, and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:
Graduate degree in public health, business administration, city or regional planning, public policy or related field and/or at least 3-5 years of experience in grants and development; demonstrated high-level competency in grant-writing and analytical skills for program planning; work experience in dealing with staff, board of directors, the public, as well as all levels of corporate, public, and government representatives; familiarity with the Asian community; bilingual/bicultural in any Asian language desirable but not required.

Starting Salary: $46,185 with generous benefits
